JP Marston is a one-person workshop that designs and sews custom martial arts gi, pants, and handmade accessories. Garments are cut to the wearer’s measurements rather than a commercial size chart, then sewn by hand in the United States.
What we make
The shop produces men’s and women’s gi jackets and pants, matched sets, custom tote bags, and iaito bags. Standard gi fabrics are 12oz bull denim, 10oz canvas, and 7oz canvas. Construction includes triple-stitch flat fell seams, reinforced stress points, and optional name or dojo embroidery.
How the work is done
After checkout, the customer receives a measurement guide. Measurements and fabric choices are confirmed by phone before any cloth is cut. Each piece is made to order. Progress photos are sent during production.
