JP Marston makes custom martial arts gi and handmade accessories to order. You check out on the site, we send a measurement guide, we call you to confirm fabric and fit, then we cut and sew the piece in the workshop.
How to order a custom gi
1. Place the order
Choose the jacket, pants, set, or accessory and check out through the shop. Use a working phone number. You will get an email confirmation of the order and payment.
2. Measure
For clothing, we send a measurement guide and a worksheet. Record about a dozen measurements and any fit notes. Take the measurements over light clothing, or have someone help with sleeve length and inseam.
3. Confirm details by phone
We call to review measurements, fabric weight, embroidery, and any other details. Production does not start until those details are confirmed.
4. We build it
Each piece is cut and sewn to the confirmed measurements. You get progress photos. Typical clothing lead time is two to six weeks after measurement confirmation, depending on the garment and embroidery.
5. Delivery
We ship the finished piece to you. Custom-tailored gi are cut for one body, so read the return and exchange policy before you order.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know my size before I order?
No. Off-the-rack sizes are not used. After checkout we send the measurement guide and confirm the numbers with you before cutting.
What fabric weights are available?
Gi jackets and pants are offered in 12oz bull denim, 10oz canvas, or 7oz canvas. Heavier fabric holds shape through hard training. Lighter canvas breathes more in long or warm sessions.
Can you embroider a name or dojo logo?
Yes. Name, dojo logo, or crest can be placed where you specify. Confirm spelling and artwork on the call before production starts.
Can I return a custom gi?
Custom-tailored gi are final sale unless there is a defect or a measurement error on our side. Ready-made accessories that were not made to your specifications follow the 30-day unused-item rule on the returns page.
